Cost of government lawsuit?
Hundred$ of billion$ to start.

WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. NY Times

This is would be an economic Hurricane Katrina. The end result would be great redistribution of wealth. Big banks would make billions.

This would also open up a can of worms for other countries suing the US for bombing Japan, Germany, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and everyone else we have attacked, justified or not.

If our government has proof that the Saudi government was involved, why has it not been made public?

Personally, I think it’s extortion, something our government does on a regular basis. Examples are suits against big tobacco, Microsoft, Apple, colleges, cities and states.

Of course, our federal government has given themselves immunity from many such lawsuits, even if they are guilty. Talk about priviledge.

~ Let's talk more about Saudi and our government. If you wonder why almost every President over the last 3 decades has been kissing the Royal Family's arse, take a look at the $681 million donation they made to the Malaysian Prime Minister expecting nothing in return.  Yea, right!  Payola is part of their culture, and it's very effective getting things done in politics.

I suspect the lawsuit posted above may just be a political move to get Saudi to pay off donate to Congressional leaders, just like they do everyone else. What a way to extort money have a fundraiser! Don't think the lobbyists and Congressional leaders aren't already doing a rain dance. Millions will change hands.

Have we given our Senators and Representatives a license to commit extortion; to conspire against whomever they can make pay their price? This, by definition, is organized crime.

Have no fear though, President Obama is on his way to Saudi on Wednesday to save the day. I wonder how much his foundation will benefit from his influence.

I will not be hypocritical about Saudi making genuine donations. I just want to know how to get on the their genuine donation list and wait my turn.

What about the US government's involvement in 9/11? Who do we sue for that?
