What a statement...

I want to make it perfectly clear, ISIS is our enemy. Although, the thought of them attacking Washington D.C. doesn’t bother me as much as it does some of the other U.S. cities they named, Bedford TX being one.

If you didn’t catch the POTUS speech at the G20 Summit last week, and you are unclear on his plans and agenda in the Middle East concerning terrorism, he made it plain that ISIS is no big deal. The massacre in Paris was just a “setback”.

From what I read, Paris is beginning to look a lot like Beirut with all the explosions, gun fights and militia. Have no fear, this is coming to America and your government is bringing it here, on purpose.

I’m not sure how a 2 star movie got on my Netflix list, but Blue Ruin unfolded like a dollar bill that turns into a silver certificate. It was slow and painfully boring at times, but I won’t be blogging when I watch it again this week since I want to see what I missed.

I do applaud the man who returned his late wife’s “Woman of the Year” award from Glamour Magazine.  He’s right, it was insulting.

My hat is off to the Chinese billionaire who made the winning bid at auction for a Modigliani portrait with an offer of $170.4 million with fees. His brutally honest statement is a testament to the future: "The message to the West is clear: We have bought their buildings, we have bought their companies, and now we are going to buy their art.”

As oil prices head south, be prepared for property taxes to go up to cover local discrepancies. There are all kinds of taxes that will be affected by the drop. Get ready for the bureaucracy to do some major justification when they raise taxes.

And the property tax rates will have to go up to compensate for the prop 1 increase in the homestead exemption as well.
