State of the Union?
Fact check on aisle 9

”The shadow of crisis has passed… At every step, we were told our goals were misguided or too ambitious, that we would crush jobs and explode deficits, …Instead, we’ve seen the fastest economic growth in over a decade, our deficits cut by two-thirds, a stock market that has doubled, and health-care inflation at its lowest rate in 50 years.” Barack Obama, 2015 SOTU address.

If the shadow of crisis has passed, why are there unprecedented increases in the national debt, poverty, food stamps, welfare, civil unrest, home grown terrorism, health care premiums, businesses leaving the country, illegal border entries and foreign policy failures?

He also said the US is "the only advanced country on Earth that doesn't guarantee paid sick leave." Sorry, not true; unless you don’t consider Canada or Japan advanced countries.*

He boasted the US gained 11 million private sector jobs in the last 5 years; although, during his administration, total employment has grown by only 6.4 million.* Half truth?

And then there’s the statement that since 2010 “manufacturers added 800,000 new jobs” but neglected the fact that there has been a net decline of 321,000 manufacturing jobs since January of 2009.*

And in case you didn’t get the memo, the government’s health care website is sharing personal data, intentionally.

“The Obama administration says HealthCare.gov's connections to data firms were intended to help improve the consumer experience.” AP via Yahoo

Please remember, this is the same President who has been outspoken about protecting personal online data.

Also remember, your medical record is worth more to hackers than your credit card. You may not think it’s relevant, but I do since trust is not rational.

I'm sure you already knew that when the government taxes businesses, they pass on the expense to the consumer; hence, the consumer ultimately pays the tax. Also, when they overtax they wealthy, it also hurts the economy because it is the wealthy who employ much of our workforce. Sadly, the government knows this, but believes the American voter is too stupid to realize the concept.

How can anyone brag on the US economy when we are having mass layoffs presently? Schlumberger 9,000 Baker Hughes 7,000…just in the last week. They have the purchasing power of 50,000 Walmart employees, and its just the tip of the iceberg. 150,000 layoffs estimated so far.

Although, it looks as if Schlumberger is reinvesting the savings and heading to Russia with it… I can’t blame them.

He wants taxpayers to fund the first 2 years of college for some, but also wants to take away some benefits of the 529 college savings plan. Penalize the people who actually have the discipline to save for an education! CNN Money Idiocy, hypocrisy or strategy?

And about the no crisis war on terror, when’s the last time a President restored relations instead of imposed or continued economic sanctions with a country on the U.S. Terrorism list. He just did it with Cuba. Reuters Please use facts, not opinion, if you intend to justify his actions.

This administration believes financial equality can be solved taking from the rich. Financial inequality is created by making the poor more dependent on others, which is what our liberal leaders have been doing for decades.

By now, it is well established that President Obama is a liar in the Alinsky tradition. As long as it furthers his political and ideological agenda, it's all right. There is no morality under collectivism.

The shadow of crisis has passed and the spectre of totalitarianism now dictates our lives.
