It's almost Friday...

I have found myself in search of the fast food chain who serves the best “Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuit”. So far, Braum’s is leading. Burger King was a colossal fail. Feel free to render your opinion on the subject, as long as it’s bacon, not sausage.
Best thing I read all day…

“President Obama placed his hand on a Bible and swore to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of these United States. It’s time to put down the golf clubs, Mr. President. It’s time to stop the parties. It’s time to take off the mom jeans and put on some big boy pants.

We need a leader with the moral courage to defend our nation against an unthinkable threat.

Do your job, Mr. President”. Todd Starnes, Fox News Radio

This could apply to most of our congressmen as well.
Speaking of doing your job, will our government ever hold bankers accountable for breaking the law or will they just continue to levy fines against them. The government just serves as a business expense to them, which has proven to be a great expense to our economy and the American people.  Throw a couple of CEO's in maximum security prison and the word will get out quick...
I really appreciated the comment I read concerning the shooting instructor who was killed by the 9 year old he let fire a fully automatic Uzi. It read, “Stupid has consequences.” I’m not gonna forget that remark for quite some time.
Newsflash: Scientists Take the Edge Off Bad Memories in Mice
M.I.T. researchers say a technique that adjusts emotions attached to memories could eventually lead to more effective therapies for people with psychological problems. NY Times
Adjusting emotions with light technology. It may work, but won’t be implemented unless big pharmacy can find a BIG payoff in treatment.  There is more money in anti-depressants than just about any other medication.
Which ultimately leads to the question: How far are we willing to allow “mind control” in humans? Probably pretty far… I know I would pay just about anything to get my wife to shut up sometimes…

It's these voices I hear...
between my ears...

Well, I noticed today that David Barajas was acquitted of the murder of the man who was drunk and caused an auto accident that killed his 11 and 12 year old sons. If I were a juror, I would have had a difficult time sending the guy to prison. If I were an officer on the scene of the crime, I probably would have not been highly motivated to collect evidence. I would let God determine final justice on this one and not criticize or condemn, even though two wrongs never make a right…
AAA is offering free tows for cars and a free ride home in selected cities in Oklahoma over Labor Day weekend. I appreciate AAA very much for providing this service to both members and non-members in the hopes of saving lives, even if it may be an advertising ploy. I’m a AAA member and proud of it…although I have never used their service…
As a child, I remember driving by the Padfield home going to Paradise and being told the story of the creature that killed Dean’s cows. I remember because it was an unexplained, unnatural, irregular story that had alien/monster implications. I also remember that it was inferred Mrs. Padfield may have hit the sauce a little hard that night. In that era, painkillers were prescribed frequently. BTW, as a kid, I liked Dean Padfield…
I noticed where Bestbuy is advertising heavily to sell Samsung cell phones. Can’t say I blame them since Apple retails their phone and makes it very difficult for anyone else to profit unless they get part of the action, all accessories as well.
I am washing my truck Friday to insure we get rain!
I watched a movie the other night that has stuck in my head for almost a week. The title, “Best Offer”. Be prepared for something different…

My opinions are based on my perception, not necessarily fact...

I just read a headline from the AP, “Michael Brown’s Family Says He Was A ‘Gentle Soul’”. After throwing up, I came to the conclusion he was either wasted or passed out when he was at home…
If any other race demonstrated as violently as was in Ferguson, MO, wouldn’t the media and government label it terrorism? What if it was a religious sect? Does asking these questions make me racist?
I read that the speakers at Michael Brown’s funeral encouraged those attending to “work for justice”, not only for him but for others. Does that mean they’re gonna help clean up the neighborhood, inform on and hand over criminals to law enforcement?
Another global warming atrocity: Methane (greenhouse) gas is discovered seeping from seafloor off the east coast. NY Times 570 different locations…for at least a thousand years…but a tiny amount when compared to all sources...

This would be a major catastrophe if we could find someone to blame it on! Especially if we could levy fines against them…
On a lighter note, I just read where an Arizona shooting instructor was accidentally shot and killed by a 9 year old girl using an automatic Uzi he was showing her how to use. I feel bad for the little girl, but the instructor should have had the common sense to know that 9 year olds and automatic weapons do not fare well together...
