Senator Harry Reid is appalled!!!
Go Figure!

I just watched Harry Reid this morning on national TV and could only shake my head at what he had to say.

"the Republicans want to shut down our nation's government because they want to make it harder for women to get the health services they need"

Yes Senator, I'm sure that's been their plan all along...to kill American women...

"the Tea Party, among others, but they're the biggest push, is trying to move its extreme, social agenda, issues that have nothing to do with funding the government, they're willing to, what appears clearly, to throw women under the bus, even if it means they shut down the government"

Once again Senator, I'm sure that's why they want to shut down the government, even though the majority of active Tea Party members are women...

His next statement I found to be the most contemptible:

[the government shutdown] "will damage our image and credibility around the world"

After what the Democrat controlled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac did to the world economy, I believe the world would be elated at our government's downfall...

"As a legislator, I am very frustrated; as an American, I am appalled; as a husband, father and grandfather, I am personally offended."

Well Harry, get in line and take a number. I've felt the same way for around 15 years.

Let's shut 'em down for a while and see if Americans can actually do without our "non-essential" federal government. Actually, I'm curious how much it would slow down the National debt?

As I Mature

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just a$$holes.

I've learned that it takes years to build trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.

I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better have a big willy or huge boobs.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think.

I've learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you're finished.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades, and there had better be a lot of money to take its place!

I've learned that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it.

I've learned that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away.

Pop term of the week...

office quarterback

a manager that is infamously known for handing off their work and other useless assignments to you that they could and should be doing themselves

The office quarterback just handed off a bunch of her assignments to me, AGAIN!

I would make the Pro bowl playing this position...

It starts with a thought...

The best inheritance you can leave your kids is an example of how to live a full and meaningful life.

Latest worthy movie review...

Went to Grapevine Mills 30, sat in a large, electric, leather recliner and watched "Limitless" last night. Big mistake watching this movie there! It was a 9 on drama and suspense, hence the mocha latte and chocolate cake wound me up so tight I couldn't sit still and relax in my recliner; although, my hiney did giggle occassionally from the added comfort. If you like drama and suspense with a touch of sci-fi and power mongering, you will love this flick! My alter Dr. Evil persona surfaced and doubled my heart rate...is that bad?

I will admit, it was worth the extra coin to see this flick, even in the not-so-cheap "Cinema Suite" seats. One other word of advice, do not sit too high up in this auditorium or you won't be able to recline very far and still see the bottom of the screen. If you see the late show, you can pick a row by yourself and get complete privacy, although this is not the picture to embark on that expedition, unless you're under 30...

You have been given some very good and dangerous information, use it wisely!
