Healthcare in a nutshell
The phone rings and the lady of the house answers, 'Hello.'
'Mrs. Sanders, please .'
'Speaking.'
'Mrs. Sanders, this is Doctor Jones at Saint Agnes' Laboratory. When your husband's doctor sent his biopsy to the lab last week, a biopsy from another Mr. Sanders arrived as well. We are now uncertain which one belongs to your husband. Frankly, either way the results are not too good.'
'What do you mean?' Mrs. Sanders asks nervously.
'Well, one of the specimens tested positive for Alzheimer's and the other one tested positive for HIV. We can't tell which is which.'
'That's dreadful! Can you do the test again?' questioned Mrs. Sanders.
'Normally we can, but Obamacare will only pay for these expensive tests one time.'
'Well, what am I supposed to do now?'
'The folks at Obamacare recommend that you drop your husband off somewhere in the middle of town. If he finds his way home, don't sleep with him.'
Pop term of the day: LBD
LBD: Little Black Dress. A knee-length or shorter black dress, suitable for cocktail parties, etc.

Unnecessary humor
A lady walks into Tiffany's. She looks around, spots a beautiful diamond bracelet and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to look more closely, she unexpectedly has to fart.
Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone noticed her little whoops and prays that a sales person wasn't anywhere near. As she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Good looking as well.
Cool as a cucumber, he displays all of the qualities one would expect of a professional in a store like Tiffany's.
He politely greets the lady with, 'Good day, Madam. How may we help you today?'
Blushing and uncomfortable, but still hoping that the salesman somehow missed her little 'incident', she asks, 'Sir, what is the price of this lovely bracelet?'
He answers, "Madam.. if you farted just looking at it - you're going to shit when I tell you the price."

The so-called "conservative party" is changing... or maybe I should say the GOP is "coming out of the closet"! Political popularity seems to override GOP conservative party values if it gets them elected! People now seem to vote for the best/worst of two evils. Really, how many times have you heard someone had to vote for a particular politician because they could not allow his opponent to get the office? "Republicans chose a candidate with softer edges: a female lawmaker who embraces gay marriage, fully supports abortion rights and has a close relationship with leading labor officials in her region."True conservatives (fiscal & moral) will need to find another political party to support if they want to give America back to the moral majority; which include conservative values. Whether you agree or disagree is irrelevant, conservatives don't go both ways; at least not in public.

Yea, I've got a problem with that...
'0bama did what he does best again this evening, read a speech off of telepropmters and talked his way out of answers to an adoring press pool on health care. ... When the people in DC create rules that effect everybody EXCEPT for them then it can’t be good. If it were they would want it too.'
EVEN WORSE: Democrats are preventing Republican House Members from sending their constituents a mailing that is critical of the majority’s health care reform plan, blocking the mailing by alleging that it is inaccurate.
How can they claim it’s inaccurate when nobody’s read the bill? Hell, do you know any program this administration has already implemented that has been accurately depicted?

While discussing the upcoming Universal Health Care Program with my sister-in-law the other day, I think we have found the solution. I am sure you have heard the ideas that if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need any health care. A new hip? Unheard of. We simply can't afford to take care of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let’s take care of the young people. After all, they will be ruling the world very soon.
So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 senators and 2 representatives. Of course, you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head and all the health care you need!!! New teeth, great!!! Need glasses, no problem. New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well bring it on. And who will be paying for all of this. The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. And, since you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income tax.
I really think we have a Perfect Solution!!!

Unnecessary humor
A man takes the day off work and decides to go out golfing. He is on the second hole when he notices a frog sitting next to the green. He thinks nothing of it and is about to shoot when he hears, "Ribbit 9 Iron."
The man looks around and doesn't see anyone. Again, he hears, "Ribbit 9 Iron." He looks at the frog and decides to prove the frog wrong, puts the club away, and grabs a 9 iron. Boom! He hits it 10 inches from the cup.
He is shocked. He says to the frog, "Wow that's amazing. You must be a lucky frog, aye?
The frog replies, "Ribbit Lucky frog."
The man decides to take the frog with him to the next hole. "What do you think frog?" the man asks.
"Ribbit 3 wood."
The guy takes out a 3 wood and, boom! Hole in one. The man is befuddled and doesn't know what to say. By the end of the day, the man golfed the best game of golf in his life and asks the frog, "OK where to next?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit Las Vegas".
They go to Las Vegas and the guy says, "OK frog, now what?"
The frog says, "Ribbit Roulette."
Upon approaching the roulette table, the man asks, "What do you think I should bet?"
The frog replies, "Ribbit $3000, black 6."
Now, this is a million-to-one shot to win, but after the golf game the man figures what the heck. Boom! Tons of cash comes sliding back across the table.
The man takes his winnings and buys the best room in the hotel. He sits the frog down and says, "Frog, I don't know how to repay you. You've won me all this money and I am forever grateful."
The frog replies, "Ribbit Kiss Me."
He figures why not, since after all the frog did for him, he deserves it. With a kiss, the frog turns into a gorgeous 15-year-old girl.
"And that, your honor, is how the girl ended up in my room. So help me God or my name is not William Jefferson Clinton."

As you read this, we are closer than ever to passing comprehensive health insurance reform that benefits American families and small businesses. Despite all the back and forth in the news right now, it is important to understand just how far we've come in this challenging process.

If you don't have health insurance: you will finally have guaranteed access to quality, affordable health care, and you can choose the plan that best suits your family's needs. And no insurance company will be allowed to deny you coverage because of a pre-existing medical condition.
We have to seize this opportunity and pass health insurance reform this year. You can help by forwarding this email to your family and friends and letting them know what's at stake in this debate.

I'm an American Patriot

I am an American Patriot.
Today, when I awoke, I cried as I listened to the news about President Obama and his “healthcare” bill and I realized that as a person in my 50’s, I am the one he is targeting with this bill. I am the one who is going to be denied the knee replacement I will need in a few years. I am the one who as a cancer survivor will be deemed “not well enough to save.” I am the one who will be allowed to die by denying health care to me. Friends, it is time YOU stand up for America. You too must become an American patriot.
On July 4, 1776, our Creator divinely inspired 56 brave me to join in a unanimous DECLARATION of INDEPENDENCE from the tyranny and destructive government of a King.
These men risked their reputations, their freedom, why even their very lives because they believed “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are LIFE, LIBERTY and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.” They also believed that “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government.”
I am concerned that our United States Government has become destructive to our rights for – LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS because today, we have a new tyrannt...BARRACK HUSSAIN OBAMA.
Founded on the ideas of Individual Freedom, States Rights, and a small National Government, the United States has been a leader of the free world for most of its 233 years. Today, our country’s core values have been shaken to their very roots. Our founding fathers must literally be turning over in their graves! Never before in my life have I been as worried and scared about the continuation of my country AS A GOD LOVING, FREEDOM LOVING country, as I am today.
Capitalism, the benchmark of America’s success, is now in grave danger of being replaced by Socialism. It is truly frightening to watch as our President has nationalized banks, taken over General Motors and Chrysler, closed car dealerships nationwide, and pushed through the CAP and TRADE bill. His goal, as he said to JOE THE PLUMBER during the campaign, is to REDISTRIBUTE WEALTH. That is your wealth and mine.
It is truly frightening when you look at statistics that show that 1-in-5 Americans believe socialism is better for our country than capitalism. It is even more frightening when you discover that over 30% of our young people believe that socialism is the answer to America’s problems; and another 30% of our young are undecided. America, we have a PROBLEM!
We’ve bailed out the auto industry; we’ve bailed out the banks. Now states such as California, Arizona, New York, and others are going bankrupt. Our President plans to bail them out too. What about the other 47 states. Where will the money come from? It will come from YOU, THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER. And this president claimed he was NOT going to raise taxes on anyone who makes over $250,000. Well think again, he’s coming after YOU!
Whatever happened to our unalienable rights of LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS?
We have the greatest medical system in the world. Our President and Congress have promised us that they are going to “fix” our broken system. My God, can't you image the United States Medical System becoming another broken down bureaucracy? As a cancer survivor, I DO NOT WANT my medical care provided by or dictated by the government. On pages 425-450 in the health care bill before congress is wording that indicates elderly people are going to be counseled every five years about dying with dignity. This bill is going to greatly affect the baby boomer generation…as they are just going to let us die. No more knee replacement surgery, angioplasty, etc. to extend our lives since “seniors” already receive a disproportionate share of health care money.
You bet, I'm WORRIED about my rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. Now I'm worried that President Obama is going to let me die by denying me health care.
I'm concerned that my president has forsaken the constitution by appointing officers known as czars, accountable to no one except our president and who are dependent upon him solely for their position and sustenance, with powers that usurp the authority of the elected. His administration has even declared the liberty-loving people who legally and peacefully protest these iniquities to be a threat to the very Constitution we love and honor. FRIENDS, are we going to take this?????
In January, 2009, Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N. Y., introduced H. J. Res. 5, a bill that would repeal the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment prohibiting a president from being elected to more than two terms in office. This resolution is for real. It has been proposed and has been filed with the Library of Congress. It has seven years to be ratified by the states to take effect. If it were to pass, it would open the gates for a president to serve indefinitely as long as he is re-elected. Why does this concern me? With groups such as ACORN who are known for corruption being given stimulus money and with the 2010 census being controlled by President Obama, I am alarmed that not only are we moving towards socialism, we may be moving towards dictatorship. The AUDACITY of this should alarm and move all of us to action!
I for one have always taken my country for granted. I have enjoyed its prosperity, its abundance of food, the freedom to practice my own religion, the freedom to choose the type of education my children received, the right to work hard and succeed or fail, the right to own a gun, the right to a high standard of healthcare, and the right to speak out when I agree or disagree with my government.
Our United States Government has become destructive to these ends – LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. We have strayed too far from our Constitution. In fact, we have strayed so far that we, as American Patriots, must stand up tonight and BAILOUT THE CONSTITUTION!
If you ever feel like your lone voice can never be heard, that the political system isn't set up for "regular" Americans to change the course of history, remember: The signers were flesh and blood, mortal men with a divinely-inspired aim.
"Five were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes burned to the ground. Two lost sons serving in the Revolutionary Army, and two more had sons captured.
Nine fought and died in the Revolutionary War. Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists, eleven were merchants, and nine were farmers and large plantation owners. They were well educated, smart enough to know that by signing the Declaration of Independence, they were signing their own death warrants. They did it anyway, and God bless them for it. We’ve bailed out the auto industry; we’ve bailed out the banks. Now states such as California, Arizona, New York, and others are going bankrupt. Our President plans to bail them out too. What about the other 47 states. Where will the money come from? It will come from YOU, THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER. And this president claimed he was NOT going to raise taxes on anyone who makes over $250,000. Well think again, he’s coming after YOU!
Whatever happened to our unalienable rights of LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS?
We have the greatest medical system in the world. Our President and Congress have promised us that they are going to “fix” our broken system. My God, can't you image the United States Medical System becoming another broken down bureaucracy? As a cancer survivor, I DO NOT WANT my medical care provided by or dictated by the government. On pages 425-450 in the health care bill before congress is wording that indicates elderly people are going to be counseled every five years about dying with dignity. This bill is going to greatly affect the baby boomer generation…as they are just going to let us die. No more knee replacement surgery, angioplasty, etc. to extend our lives since “seniors” already receive a disproportionate share of health care money.
You bet, I'm WORRIED about my rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. Now I'm worried that President Obama is going to let me die by denying me health care.
I'm concerned that my president has forsaken the constitution by appointing officers known as czars, accountable to no one except our president and who are dependent upon him solely for their position and sustenance, with powers that usurp the authority of the elected. His administration has even declared the liberty-loving people who legally and peacefully protest these iniquities to be a threat to the very Constitution we love and honor. FRIENDS, are we going to take this?????
In January, 2009, Rep. Jose Serrano, D-N. Y., introduced H. J. Res. 5, a bill that would repeal the Constitution’s 22nd Amendment prohibiting a president from being elected to more than two terms in office. This resolution is for real. It has been proposed and has been filed with the Library of Congress. It has seven years to be ratified by the states to take effect. If it were to pass, it would open the gates for a president to serve indefinitely as long as he is re-elected. Why does this concern me? With groups such as ACORN who are known for corruption being given stimulus money and with the 2010 census being controlled by President Obama, I am alarmed that not only are we moving towards socialism, we may be moving towards dictatorship. The AUDACITY of this should alarm and move all of us to action!
I for one have always taken my country for granted. I have enjoyed its prosperity, its abundance of food, the freedom to practice my own religion, the freedom to choose the type of education my children received, the right to work hard and succeed or fail, the right to own a gun, the right to a high standard of healthcare, and the right to speak out when I agree or disagree with my government.
Our United States Government has become destructive to these ends – LIFE, LIBERTY, and THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. We have strayed too far from our Constitution. In fact, we have strayed so far that we, as American Patriots, must stand up tonight and BAILOUT THE CONSTITUTION!

Pop term of the day: elbow tag
When in a theater with shared armrests, the act of carefully adjusting one's posture so that your arm touches the arm of the person next to you, but not so much that they move their arm away.
Jenna was pretty sure Mark still believed in cooties, so she got all giddy during their Ice Age 3 date when she "won" a game of elbow tag.
Land of the Lost was so painful, I had to amuse myself by playing elbow tag with the stranger on my left.
I never thought this day would ever come.
For the first time in my life, I bought a foreign-made car. I have always been loyal to buy American vehicles; but I choose not to be remorseful over my purchase. I didn't pick it out and doubt I will ever drive it, but someone's happy and loves it.
I call it the 0bamazda. I would have remained loyal to the American worker if it weren't for their corrupt Union and the current administration. Our president's path of tax and spend will create more unemployment and Unions are supporting him as they lay off their workers. Nothing like a few key government contracts to make the group some very serious coin.
I remember when Unions were considered organized crime... now they're vested in the US government.
As of now, I am still allowed to choose where I spend the money I earn. I figure if I'm gonna have less cash after government interference and unionization in health care, energy, insurance, banking and the auto industry, I can do my small part not to support them. Oh, I forgot... it is our tax dollars they are spending; I already help support them. Dang!
