Arlen Specter
I have purposely reserved my opinion on the Arlen Specter debacle in order to ponder and process this interesting twist of political maneuvering. This is the only move he could make to insure the Senator’s political survival. He knew winning the next Republican primary was virtually impossible without conservative support.
Good riddance, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!
Why would anyone worry about giving democrats the sacred 60 votes in the Senate after he already cast the deciding vote for the porkulus bill. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. He is the favorite poster boy for Rino’s everywhere. His own constituents in Pennsylvania label him “Benedict Arlen”.
The GOP was in the process of putting this 79 year old disloyal horse out to pasture. Democrats will inject millions of dollars worth of campaign advertising steroids into the steed and lead him around the track another 4 years, allowing him enough public attention to feel relevant.

I always heard my Dad talk about the Blue Indigo Snakes (Black Racers or Cow Suckers in KY) he used to know while ranching in the Brackettville/Spofford area before moving to the present ranch in about 1932. He always said, no one bothered them, because they killed and ate rattlesnakes. Of course I thought it was a tall tale, because I never saw one on the present ranch. But while working for the King Ranch down in deep South Texas, I saw several of these snakes. They were big, long and the color of Indigo or Blueing they use to use in dying clothes. Never saw one eat a rattler, but I guess the truth does come out now and then. Enjoy the attached photos. Send to all your friends in South Texas and those who hunt down that way to let them know there are good snakes out there.

President Obama is promising universal health care for Americans.
God help us. [A Canadian is worried about America's health care?]
[Canadian] Sally Pipes, president of the Pacific Research Institute [in San Francisco], explained on the “Mark Levin Show” last night why government health care has been a disaster everywhere it’s been tried and would be a catastrophe for the United States.
Americans hate standing in line and they won’t tolerate the health care rationing the government is planning to impose on Americans.
“They don’t like standing at line at the post office, as you know, Mark, they don’t like standing in line at the DMV. When the government takes over their health care, they’ll be standing in line waiting for care,” said Pipes, a native Canadian who knows whereof she speaks.
Canadians, Pipes pointed out, come to the United States to seek treatment instead of dying on Canadian government waiting lists.
The book “The Top Ten Myths of American Health Care: A Citizen's Guide” challenges the conventional belief that only government can fix our health care system. In fact, says Sally Pipes, “government overreach has put the system in a state of crisis.”
In her conclusion, Ms. Pipes offers some ways to fix the country's biggest health care problems. “If we want to bring costs down and extend coverage to more Americans, we have to open the health care marketplace to competition -- by abolishing costly government regulations and reforming the tax code to make insurance more affordable.”

When Canadians, who already benefit from universal health care, start worrying about America launching the same program, I sit up straight and pay attention. Coming to America to receive health care so they don't die on a government waiting list to get treatment disturbs me! Canadian government surveys do not reflect this analysis.

Reconciliation ~ quietly, the most notable event in the first 100 days of the Obama Presidency.
The most significant consequence of the first 100 days of the Obama Presidency happened today when Congress turned our government into a Parliamentary system! The controlling political party no longer needs the usual 61 votes in the Senate required to pass the President's health care reform.
Today, Congress passed President Obama's budget outline and “Lawmakers also agreed to use a powerful procedural tool known as reconciliation to advance the president's proposal to expand health coverage…” Washington Post

If you don't know Charles Krauthammer, his political intelligence level is up there with Rove and Gingrich; although not as gifted as a communicator, his craft as a writer earned him a Pulitzer.
He wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post Friday that is worthy of another award. Promising one thing and doing another. Some people consider dishonesty immoral. Integrity was once thought to be the right direction. He is far from the only politician with this problem.
Hand picking an administration that doesn’t pay their taxes and don’t share mainstream values.
Starting the process of restricting and removing our civil rights.
Bowing down to Congress after vowing to eliminate earmarks, then allowing gargantuan government waste of hard earned tax dollars.
Passing a $3.6 trillion federal budget without reading it. So much for restoring responsibility and accountability.
Instilling fear into Americans in order to pass the Stimulus bill after his commitment on “hope over fear” and “unity over division”.
Using the most powerful office in the land to spread ”doom and gloom” about the economy, encouraging an already weak stock market to produce record losses.
Laughing in public about Americas problems! They aren’t funny.
Citing the possibility of corruption, promising he wouldn't have lobbyists in his administration, but making 17 exceptions during his first two weeks in office.
Allowing, not condemning US Attorney General Eric Holder calling America a nation of cowards.
Forcing banks to take TARP money they didn’t want and then adding stipulations on government control.
Rolling back rules requiring labor unions and their leaders to report information about their finances and compensation.
Traveling to France and calling Americans arrogant, dismissive and derisive while praising Europe’s “leading role in the world”. This in not patriotism!
Compromising the security of America by:
Releasing GITMO detainees, some proudly confessing their acts of terrorism, into the United States.
Giving terrorist organizations invaluable and proven CIA interrogation techniques so they can train their armies to resist them.
Apologizing to the world for America’s behavior and making us look weak to our enemies throughout the world. And we have a bunch of them.
Willingness to drop plans for a missile defense shield in Europe for Russia's help with the nuclear weapons issue in Iran.
Cutting “shovel ready” defense spending on superior military weaponry while giving it to banks, insurance companies and overseas entities.
Putting personal beliefs before the security of America!

My blog is under attack!
There is a comment on my previous blog posted to make conservatives look like idiots. It has also been put here to shut down any more comments due to it's length. It is a copy and paste attack on almost 200 blogs .
The comment came out of Warren Ohio. What left winger might do this? Other than the usual city and county offices, there are federal government offices like the SS administration, an Air Force reserve recruiting office; a local steel workers union and the district office of US Representative Tim Ryan (D).
ACORN has some heavy hitters in that area…and it looks as though they stay busy! I don’t know anyone else would threaten a law suit in the last paragraph of a comment, do you?

Up until the last couple of weeks, I noticed our President used a particular word at least once in many of his speeches: "honestly". Why would the POTUS ever use that term unless people don't believe him to begin with?
How can it be that are actors such experts on everything? Are they smarter than everyone else? Do they just stir shit up for attention?

How to leave me speechless!
On his 100th day in office, President Obama will be "crowned" in messianic imagery at New York City's Union Square.

Even the title of the piece, "The Truth," suggests a play on biblical themes, as Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ' World Net Daily

Gay Rights, Gay Tolerance and My Christian Faith
First, let me clear the air as to my posture on gay people, gay rights and bringing America into the gay fold. I do not hate gay, bisexual or transgendered individuals. If anything, I have defended their right to that lifestyle, but I don’t believe they should have more civil rights in America than me. Although, I do not approve of their lifestyle, I have never publically condemned them. It is not my place to judge them since I am not free from sin.
I believe the Holy Bible. Therefore, I believe homosexual acts are a sin, just as other sin. I believe God forgives all sin, when one earnestly seeks God’s forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. I believe there are Christians that commit homosexual acts. What I’m not sure about are those individuals who exhibit more pride in their homosexuality than their Christianity.
I may love you as my neighbor and tolerate your actions, but do rest assured, I am not a doormat! I do not tolerate the actions of Perez Hilton when he attacks the Christian beliefs of a very courageous young lady who stands up for her convictions. It makes me very angry when certain individuals and groups feel they are entitled to special treatment and everyone’s approval.
You respect my rights and beliefs and I will respect yours. Don’t condemn my Christian beliefs and expect me to tolerate your hate. Don’t expect me to be tolerant when you push your lifestyle on my children in our schools. Don’t expect me to like it when you want them taught that homosexuality is a normal lifestyle in our society. Don’t expect me not to stand up for my beliefs, the same as you.
I’ll be the first to admit that Christians are not perfect. BUT… Christians condemn Middle Eastern countries for executing homosexuals for their lifestyle. Christians are one of the groups most tolerant of your lifestyle. Christians penned the US Constitution, which gives you your freedom. Christians went to war to free slaves. Throughout history and even today, Christians are being executed for their beliefs.
You and Congress want to label Christians “radical extremists”, go ahead, we’ve been called worse. You want to change the faith and beliefs of me and my family, be careful. Don’t for one minute think that when you attack us, we won’t defend ourselves!
You, my gay brothers and sisters, are entitled to nothing, except your beliefs ~ same as me. You want my respect, earn it. You want my toleration, be tolerant. You want my support, be supportive. You want me to fear your wrath, I will not; I fear God above any man…

'The radical nature of this government is spinning out of control. Consider that within four months of the new Administration Congress that Christians who believe in end time prophecy, border control, the Bill of Rights and the sanctity of life are vilified as rightwing extremists. At the same time, elected officials are holding serious hearings to give special legal protection to those who have made choices that are sexually deviant. Democrats in their Congressional hearings are claiming that homosexuals and transgenders are fleeing for their lives from persecution, cannot get jobs, and cannot purchase goods and services. Therefore, lawmakers believe these people need special hate crime protections.
Trouble is, there is no documentation to support the claims. According to Andrea Lafferty, of the Traditional Values Coalition, Democrats neglected to mention that in America -- a country of 300 million people -- there have been only 1,521 cases of hate against homosexual, bisexual, and transgender people—hardly a surge in public persecution. Homosexuals, bisexuals and transgendered people should not have any more protection under the law than the rest of the population. We are all people. For lawmakers who we elect to office to elevate above the current law this group of people because of their sexual preferences is just another sign that the government is out of control.
It is time that those of us who know the truth stand up and say it. From a Biblical worldview, homosexuality is abomination. It is not moral. And it leads to the breakdown of society. Leviticus 18:22 says, “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” For those that say things changed since Christ died for the sins of the world, it is written in Romans 1:25-27 speaks of homosexuality: “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator... For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that with is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman.”
There was a time that Christians were considered patriots and standard-bearers of what was good and right about America. Now we have a government bent on giving special legal protection to those who pervert the truth of God and wish to destroy the moral fabric of a great nation because of their own selfish pride. Instead, Christians who hold to the truth of God are considered hate mongers and dangerous citizens. Romans 14:16 warns: “Let not then your good be evil spoken of.” And 3 John 11 says, “Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good.” Recent history suggests that those speaking the loudest get the attention. In this nation, we have a say. And we need to speak boldly.'
Although, there are 10s of thousands of Christians who disagree with the Holy Bible, it doesn't mean It's wrong... My personal opinion on the subject will follow this post. DC
